Activities
IMS offers many different after school activities including sports, clubs and theatre. In order to participate, students must have a paid ASB card. Specific information will be announced on the DMQ. Please see the Student Planner for behavior, attendance and academic expectations.
Note: In order to participate in any after-school activity, sports, theatre, concerts, etc., a student must be in attendance in all of their classes. The only exceptions are: school related and approved absences (field trips), medical/dental appointments, family emergencies, or legal appointments when appropriate written verification of the appointment from the provider has been submitted to the Attendance Office upon their return. Any other emergencies or absences must be approved by School Administration on a case-by-case basis.

What is ASB?
ASB stands for Associated Student Body and it is our official student body organization. The ASB Leadership class is the recognized Student Government Association that represents all students at IMS. Leadership students interact with other students, staff and the administration on a regular basis to voice student needs and concerns. The goal of the ASB is to bring students together by promoting educational, cultural and social activities.

Student Government
IMS Leadership/Production class is a group of strong leaders with a passion for technology and yearbooks, who truly care about our IMS community. This is a year-long elective; it consists of 8-10 elected positions and the rest of our students will go through the application process for this class. ASB elections take place in March for the positions of ASB President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, two 6th-grade representatives and two 7th-grade representatives. When applying for this class, remember this is a year-long elective. Students participate in all aspects of this class: yearbook, productions (Quah), and leadership. We encourage you to get involved and have fun! You can make a difference at Issaquah Middle School!
